Clean Plate Pgh Policies & Procedures

At Clean Plate, our goal is to provide you with fresh, delicious, and nourishing meals while keeping our process smooth and sustainable. To make sure we can serve you best, we’ve outlined our policies and procedures below.

Order Deadlines
    •    Weekly Ordering: All weekly orders must be placed by 5:00 PM on Thursday for the following week’s pick-up or delivery.
    •    This allows us to plan, shop for fresh ingredients, and prepare everything with care.

Order Cancellations
    •    If you need to cancel your order, please do so by 5:00 PM on Thursday prior to your scheduled pick-up or delivery date.
    •    This ensures we haven’t already purchased materials that would otherwise go to waste.
    •    If you miss the cancellation window, we’ll do our best to work with you on an alternate pick-up or delivery arrangement, however we are only able to issue a full refund if we are notified by 5:00 PM that Thursday.

Pick-Up & Delivery
    •    Pick-Up: Orders are available for pick-up during the scheduled time window provided at checkout.
    •    Delivery: Deliveries are made on the designated day and timeframe chosen when ordering. Please make sure someone is available to receive your order as we are unable to leave meals unattended in accordance with the Allegheny Health Department regulations.
    •    If you need to adjust your pick-up or delivery time, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll try our best to accommodate.

Payment Policies
    •    Payment is due at the time of ordering through our online system.
    •    We accept all major credit cards and other secure payment options offered on our site.
    •    At this time, we do not accept cash on delivery.

Food Handling & Storage
    •    All meals are prepared fresh with high-quality ingredients.
    •    Please refrigerate your meals immediately after pick-up or delivery to ensure freshness and quality.
    •    For the best taste and safety, consume meals within 3–5 days of receiving them (unless otherwise noted on the label).

Allergies & Special Requests
    •    We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences when possible; however, please note that all meals are prepared in a shared kitchen where common allergens (such as nuts, dairy, and gluten) may be present.
    •    We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
